I'm terribly sorry, I listed Josh's date of passing incorrectly. It was October 9, 2008 not 2009. I corrected the original post.
Wow, I never knew Josh, it appears he passed while I was in the hospital recovering from my own surgery, and before I joined the forum. What a brave soul and an inspiration, makes me almost embarrassed to be complaining about chest tubes and such. Rest in Peace Josh. Karen, you have my sincerest condolences.

Where would we be without those collaterals ?
Dave, do you have a picture of the engraved Josh baton?

Gator Half Triathlon, March 21 - 7:22
Tri-Shark Sprint Triathlon, June 5, 1:35 - 1:36
Rochesterfest Olympic length Triathlon, June 20 - 3:18
Stent in 2006, Aortic valve and aorta replacement in 2008
I took pictures but was never able to get all of the engraving in one shot. The circular shape creates constant reflections in the engraved area. If Dave wasn't able to get a good shot, I'll post what I have.

Here is the baton that was carried throughout the race... Thanks to Mike who supplied and engraved it.
We will be sending it to Josh's sister Karen along with a CD of pictures and a CD of the really nice tribute that Gary gave at our banquet.

A very nice way to honor Josh. Thanks to all involved with this.
Very moving story. The baton was a great idea.
