Good data. It looks like I need to increase my alcohol intake accordingly. I'll be heading out to the store now to rectify that.
Several years ago (10?) I was asked to participate in this survey put out by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory because of my subscription to Runner's World. Once in a blue moon I thought about it, but not much. Two weeks ago I received a second survey as a follow-up, and some of the research results are found at http://healthresearch.lbl.gov There is some interesting information for us cardiac athletes. I hope still to be running when the next survey comes in the mail in 2019.

Wow, I don't know how I missed this posting. I love the part where the HDL increases with mileage - althought I've always believed that is what has kept me alive this long (given my horrible family history).

P.S. I just checked my calendar and found I was working in the woods then. That just shows you can't miss a day here or something valuable might slip by.

Richard, thanks for the post, the link, and your participation in the survey.
The alcohol data is particularly enlightening.
BTW, we had a blue moon a few days ago![]()
